Being the sucker that I am for beauty videos on youtube and beauty blogs, there is hype that surrounds certain products. Sometimes the said products are worth the hype, sometimes they are not. As you can see from the title from this post, this post is on the later. Let's jump right in!

Apologies for my sporadic posting but today I wanted to bring you a review on the Josie Maran Coconut Water Cheek Gelée. I've been drawn to this product for a while mostly due to its "squishy" texture. Since I am drawn toward
gimmicky innovative products, I gave in. So what do I think?

I apologize for the hiatus but I am back with a review. Today's review surrounds the Jouer Matte Moisture Tint in Porcelain. This has been getting much love in the beauty community especially by other oily skinned gals (and guys!) because Jouer finally filled in the missing gap in the market for a matte tinted moisturizer.

It's officially/unofficially summer now that Memorial Day weekend is behind us so that means that waterline-proof liner is more crucial now than ever, especially with my watery eyes coupled with my oily eyelids. Many people have their own tips and tricks to make their eyeliner on the waterline last such as setting the liner with a black/brown shadow or using a gel liner. Others prefer investing in a higher-end eyeliner such as the Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner but I find that the eyeliner with the best lasting-power on my waterline is the affordable and easily accesible Revlon ColorStay eyeliner.

Okay, let's just acknowledge I have a lipstick problem and that I like posting about it. I promise I will start switching up my posts soon to different topics. Anyhow, today's post is about a lipstick from the very hyped Maybelline Vivids lipstick line in Vivid Rose, a very bright rosey-red color!

First and foremost, I would like to thank my sister for being generous enough to buy me this lipstick in Flamingo and letting me take photos of her lipstick in Aphrodisiac. I'm sure she bought me this lipstick because she knows I've been eyeing on it for two years but now it's mine! Let's move on to the review shall we?

I've been wanting to make a large beauty splurge for a while but that wasn't possible being unemployed during my first year of law school. Now that I started my summer internship (that's paid!), I've been putting together a list for a while on my phone of things I wanted to try beauty-wise. So let's carry on, shall we?
Bioderma: What beauty blogger/vlogger hasn't been raving about this lately? Bioderma is a micellar water solution that is supposed to remove makeup with ease. I am intrigued by this because it is supposed to feel like water without leaving a residue on the skin. And I guess I am a sucker for hype. (Photo Credit)
Sonia Kashuk Blush Brush: Simply put, I need a new blush brush. For powder blushes, I currently own the MAC 129 which is about nine years old and is starting shed and lose shape. I also own the Real Techniques Blush Brush, which is a nice brush but for some reason it lost shape and I can't get it to go back to normal. (Photo Credit)
Nuxe Reve de Miel: This is definitely a little luxury I want to try. Instead of being a lip protectant like most lip balms, it actually moisturizes the lips. Since it also has a slightly gritty texture, it also works as a slight lip exfoliant. (Photo Credit)
Stila Convertible Color in Petunia: To be honest, I'm not sure why I want this. Is it the cute packaging? Is it the gimmick of something working for both lips and cheeks? The idea that I can chuck this into my purse to dab on to my cheeks for some drinks after work? I don't know but it is currently sitting in my Sephora shopping cart. (Photo Credit)
St. Tropez Tanning Mitt: Me trying to have a nice glow-y faux glow is an uphill battle on my fair NC15 skin tone. I currently have the St. Tropez Tanning Mouse that I hardly use because when I try to use my bare hands, I get the awkward brown/orange palms and when I use a latex glove, I could not spread out the product evenly. Hopefully this glove will finally answer my prayers. (Photo Credit)
Caudalie Beauty Elixir: I actually had this last summer and I liked it but I wasn't sure if it was worth the $18 I paid for it. I like the strong herbal scent and it was refreshing but I didn't see any miracles on my face. I will buy it for its refreshing properties, not so much for its skin care benefits. Who knows, maybe this summer it may work some miracle on my face. (Photo Credit)
Clarins UV Plus Day Screen High Protection SPF 40: I really want a nice lightweight sunscreen for my face that I can wear under my makeup that has a physical sunscreen as opposed to a chemical one. I recently made the mistake of buying the Neutrogena Sensitive Skin Sunscreen which smells like plastic and does not blend well on the face. After reading reviews on this Clarins sunscreen, this seems like a much better bet although it is four times the price of Neutrogena. (Photo Credit)
Garnier Oil-Free BB Cream: I am very skeptical of Western BB Creams and I really like the Korean ones I have tried but I don't like the gray/pink cast they have on my face. After I heard that this has a yellow undertone, has decent coverage, and lasts well on the skin, I was sold. (Photo Credit)
MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft & Gentle: I already love my Betty-Lou Manizer from TheBalm but since I am a sucker for hype, I want to try this out myself. While the Betty-Lou Manizer is a champagne color, Soft & Gentle is more pink so I suppose I can justify purchasing it, right? (Photo Credit)
